2-Day Course | September 22โ23, 2025
A 2-day course providing updates, best practices, and new pathways & protocols regarding the acute care of major trauma patients, from Emergency Department arrival through hospital admission/discharge. Focus on advanced, state-of-the-art clinical knowledge and skills, emphasizing teamwork, non-technical skills, and best practices in ED management.
๐ฏ Course Goal
To prepare emergency clinicians with a strong trauma care foundation to quickly and accurately assess and provide high-quality care for trauma patients, with emphasis on optimizing outcomes for high-risk injuries.
Learning Objectives

Articulate best practices for treating trauma within special patient populations (hypotensive, geriatric, pediatric, pregnant).

Rapidly evaluate trauma patients using techniques such as point-of-care ultrasound.

Identify clinical red flags (vital sign abnormalities, mechanisms of injury, vascular injury findings) to anticipate patient care needs.
-
Incorporate trauma management practices such as ATLS, anticoagulant reversal, and imaging study selection into practice.
